Rob Aptaker shares Native American Animal Stories, part of the Ice House Saturday Morning Family Storytelling Series

For nearly 50 years, Rob Aptaker has visited Native American people and communities, learning stories, songs, and traditions. The stories of animals -- how they came to be and what they can teach us -- are a rich and entertaining part of these traditions. In this program Rob will share stories from a number of Native American nations, acting out the animals' voices and movements. Creatures as small as ants and as big as bears come alive in these tales. The stories are wonderfully engaging for children and they offer deeper life lessons for people of all ages.
