Our Mission

The IceHouse Performing Performing Arts Collaborative (IcePAC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. IcePAC believes in the power of the arts to serve community needs, grow our resident artist community, and establish an accessible stage for our richly diverse population.

In the coming year, over 800 local artists - poets, songwriters, musicians, comedians, magicians, actors, dancers, and storytellers from over 40 arts organizations - will take the IceHouse stage.

Set in the unique, rustic space that is the historic Charles A. Brown Ice House on the banks of Bethlehem's Lehigh River, the IceHouse presents a steady stream of diverse performances and events for every season. Now in its ninth year, the effort was established to serve and share the arts of the local culture. With programming focused on the work of the resident arts community, the presentations shine a light on our local values, issues, and heritage.

IceHouse artists directly impact the cultural and economic life of our community in many ways, including:

  • In association with the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley, Community Action Development Bethlehem, and other partners, IcePAC’s experiences Teaching Artists provide a full slate of after-school programming for the Bethlehem Area School District as an arts partner for the Any Given Child Bethlehem program.

  • The IceHouse provides community organizations a large and customizable space in which to raise awareness of their pressing issues, and to increase support through benefit concerts and other fundraising events.

  • Our artist-led community system provides a community hub not only for performing, but for meeting, teaching, and sharing among artists of diverse backgrounds and disciplines through workshops, forums, arts markets, and more.
