“Noelle” runs December 16-18 @ 800PM and December 18-19 @ 200PM at The Charles A. Brown IceHouse in Bethlehem, PA.
This Christmas, be careful what you wish for!
Crowded Kitchen Players celebrates its 20th anniversary of play production at The IceHouse with its new Christmas comedy, “Noelle”. "Noelle" is set at a Christmas Eve party late in the life of an elderly grandmother, Noelle, who is in mental and physical free-fall.
After a series of her mental lapses, Noelle's generally dysfunctional family is insistent she move from her home and into assisted living immediately. Noelle is counseled and pressured by a string of relatives and oddball friends, including a deeply frustrated son, an amorous pastor, a kindly neighbor, a larcenous ex-daughter in law, a saintly caseworker, etc. And, amidst the confusion, she is abruptly confronted by a charming but uninvited guest whose mission and goal appears to be at complete odds with everyone else's at the party.
“Noelle” is a comedy with adult language and situations. It is not based on any known person or circumstances. It is intended to entertain while stimulating discussion on the issue of aging. Each performance will include a very brief pre-show presentation by Lehigh County of Aging and Adult Services staff on the debate between assisted and independent living. Staff will be available to answer questions in the lobby prior to curtain and at intermission.
All tickets are $15. For additional information, please email ckplayers@outlook.com, call 610-704-6974 and ask for Pamela, or visit www.ckplayers.com
