Black Poets Project: The Beautiful, Needful Thing

Black Poets Project.jpg

Join us for a live reading of Black Poets Project: The Beautiful,
Needful Thing. In the wake of the murder of George Floyd, the Favorite
Poems Project of Bethlehem convened a group of women to share favorite
works by black poets and talk about the impact of these works. The
reading debuted as a film by Aidan Gilrain-McKenna at the Peace and
Social Justice Virtual Conference at Northampton Community College in
October 2020. This year the group will come together at the Ice House to
revisit these poems and look at what has changed and what hasn't.

Admission is free. Masks are required.
